What is your experience with pets and house sitting?

Sarah and Trevor have been caring for clients pets and homes since 2005. Looking after a wide variety of domestic pets, dogs, cats, small furries, birds, reptiles and fish. Providing either overnight house and pet sitting or pet care visits, pop-ins as required by the client.

How does your house and pet sitting work?

We "Sarah and Trevor" will stay in your home, including overnight and look after your pets in your absence. Follow your pets daily routines as closely as possible for feeding, walks, treats, medication etc all will be discussed. We do have other pet care visits to do during house sitting assignments so any pets we are house sitting with must be accustomed to short periods of time alone. This will be no more than 4 consecutive hours for dogs.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies depending on your location and the length of the house, pet sitting or visits required, your pet's and their individual needs. e.g straight forward pop-in visits for cat feeding from £10.00 a visit. House and pet sitting overnight from £49.00 per day. The initial meeting fee is £25.00. Where will you walk my dog?

We will take your dog(s) for a walk wherever you prefer, whether it be a stroll around the local area or a longer countryside ramble. We will discuss your dogs requirements in detail with you when we have an initial meeting at your home.

How can I contact you?

Please use our contact form, we will let you know our availability and give you a quote for the house/pet sitting or pet care visits once we have all the details. Then if you wish to proceed we will arrange an initial meeting with you and your pets.

What if my pet has ongoing health conditions, is elderly sick or injured?

We will take down all your pets medical history and veterinary details on our initial meeting. We have lots of experience caring for elderly pets needing daily meds and monitoring and will contact you or your nominated contact with any concerns. In any emergency situation we will take them directly to your vet or the nearest veterinary hospital.

How do we pay? What about the keys?

We accept bank transfers and will email the details on the invoice for the initial meeting. Once a booking is agreed upon the deposit is payable to hold and secure your dates. The deposit is approximately a third of the overall fee. The balance payment for house and pet sitting will be invoiced 21 days before the start date and is due before you depart. We will collect the keys needed once a booking is agreed upon. We can hold a key if you wish, for any future use of our services, or you can provide details of a key safe if you prefer.

Do we supply your food, bedding and towels?

We will shop/bring our own food, please leave us some space in the fridge and freezer for longer stays, a shelf/draw is ample and much appreciated. It's helpful if you provide bedding, we will pop the laundry in the wash time permitting on the last day. We will bring our own towels.

What if my return home is delayed?

Should you be delayed we will stay on, in the case we have another house sit imminent we can provide visits for your pets until your return or alternative care is in place.

Will you send me updates?

Yes, we can send you updates via WhatsApp, text or email. Let us know your preference as alternatively we will only contact you if necessary.
